Why you should prep your skin before makeup

When doing makeup on the ladies that I work with, skin prep is always the first step in the process.

Skin prep means giving the skin what it needs so that my “canvas” is ready to receive the makeup application.

The skin reacts differently when it is taken care of, it looks smoother and the makeup will stay on longer.

This is the reason you should not skip this step.

Here are the several steps of my skin prep :

The list seems long but it really easy.

These are the steps I recommend to follow before a makeup application and even when you are not wearing makeup (minus the translucent powder).

If you follow these steps, you will notice a natural glow in your skin. You just have to use the right products that match your skin type.
